This position will report to the Branch Manager and will include Member Advisor duties as well as basic lending/investments. This unique opportunity will call on your front line member-focused sales expertise and problem solving skills to maximize each member interaction.
This dual role has many benefits:
- It will enhance the member experience where you will be able to develop relationships and conduct transactional services for the member as well as then transition to basic financial advice as a Banking Advisor (such as opening accounts, small personal loans, overdrafts, credit card applications etc).
- It will assist the branch with efficiencies and productivity gained by having flexible staff trained on both roles.
- It will provide a great base on lending/investment delivery for those who may choose a career as an Financial Advisor in the future
The successful candidate should be willing to take educational courses such as the CUIC Consumer and Residential Mortgage Lending and Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning. This could involve study outside of normal working hours on your own time.
Some of the qualifications, which are desired for this position, include, but are not limited to:
- employee who is currently meeting or exceeding their sales referral targets
- very flexible and organized person. This is particularly important for this dual role.
